A unique opportunity presents itself for an experienced Indirect Procurement professional to join a market-leading £Multi-Billion Food business with a significant market share whose portfolio of products reach millions nationwide via both supermarkets and foodservice.
The Indirect Category Manager will be responsible for c.£multi-million worth of spend across a broad variety of indirect category areas including Facilities Management, Waste Management, HR, IT, PPE, and Professional Services.

Their office is based in the Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Coventry, Daventry area with flexible hybrid working approximately 3x per week WFH. They are offering up to c.£55,000 plus package.

Indirect Category Manager Responsibilities:
* Building and managing relationships with preferred suppliers, negotiating terms, and establishing contracts and supply agreements.
* Experience in contract management to support the indirect procurement function.
* Running tenders, analyzing spend, contracts, and market trends for indirect procurement subcategories in line with effective category strategies.
* Supplier consolidation, driving results, cost-saving innovations, and mitigating supply chain risks.
* Monitoring supply chain performance, ensuring compliance with procurement processes, and providing strategic insights, including financial data and risk assessments, to business leaders and the Head of Procurement.
Indirect Category Manager Desired Background:
* Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and tendering skills to drive value creation/cost savings.
* Confident communicator, able to influence, negotiate, collaborate, and effectively manage both stakeholders and suppliers.
* Strong analytical skills and risk management/mitigation experience.
* Experience with contract management and knowledge of contract T&Cs.
* Excellent supplier management experience.
* Experience in people management or desire/ability to mentor junior procurement professionals.
* Ability to interact with internal senior stakeholders, influence, and win hearts and minds.
* Strong Academics (2.1 degree or above / CIPS or MCIPS qualified preferable).
