Salary: A£40,000 - A£45,000 (Dependent on experience)

About the Role
Are you an experienced Production Process Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are seeking a proactive and skilled individual to join our production team, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing processes.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will design, optimise, and troubleshoot production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities of Production Process Engineer
1. Process Optimisation - Develop, optimise, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
2. Continuous Improvement - Lead and participate in projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other process methodologies.
3. Data & Performance Analysis - Monitor production parameters, analyse data, and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime.
4. Quality & Compliance - Ensure production meets ISO and regulatory standards while maintaining health, safety, and environmental regulations.
5. Cross-Team Collaboration - Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to identify and implement improvements.
6. Cost Reduction - Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction without compromising quality.
7. New Product Support - Assist in the launch of new products by ensuring manufacturing processes meet specifications and volume requirements.
What We're Looking For
1. Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
2. Six Sigma certification
3. 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably steel or metal processing industries)
4. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process engineering techniques
5. Experience with process control systems, automation, and plant equipment
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and implement improvements
7. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
8. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
