Permanent Rate : $39 - $43 per hour + super + overtime
Our Client is an Adelaide-based engineering company specialising in steel fabrication and structural erection within both the commercial and industrial sectors.
With many years of experience, our Client has completed numerous projects in South Australia.
Schedule : Full-time, 38-hour week, Monday – Friday + overtime as required
Responsibilities :
* Medium to heavy fabrication; read and interpret technical drawings.
* Determine the correct set-up process and welding processes from drawings and specifications.
* Understand industry standards and requirements.
* Ensure quality and accuracy of fabrication.
* Work with hand tools and power tools including hammers, chisels, measuring tools, buffing wheels, drills, polishers, and grinders.
* Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.
* Weld using GMAW and FCAW techniques; operate oxyacetylene cutting equipment and plasma cutting equipment.
* Flame heat, bend, and implement WHS procedures required to complete jobs safely, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications :
* Trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Welder, or equivalent with proven experience in a similar workshop role.
* Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
* Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
* Commitment to safe work practices.
Desired Competencies : Certificate III in Engineering (Boilermaker / Fabrication)
