Production Manager – Electronics Industry Location: Outskirts of Cambridge Salary: Competitive Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week Are you an experienced Production Manager looking for an exciting opportunity in the electronics industry? If you have a strong background in manufacturing, cost control, and team management, we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities: Production & Cost Management Oversee production processes to ensure products are built according to the production plan. Secure production capacity in alignment with the sales forecast. Minimise manufacturing costs, focusing on material and labour expenses. Continuously improve production productivity, maximising output per hour and per employee. Conduct stock takes twice a year and manage material and finished goods inventory effectively. People Management Lead, motivate, and engage production operators to foster a high-performance culture. Manage workload distribution, holiday planning, and overtime for production staff. Develop team members’ skills and ensure appropriate training. Maintain and promote a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards. Ensure compliance with QMS documents, company policies, and relevant procedures. Conduct performance reviews and set objectives for production staff twice a year. Customer & Supplier Relations Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products to meet customer expectations. Continuously work on reducing production lead times. Evaluate supplier performance, particularly CEMs, and provide feedback. Identify and source better suppliers if required. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a production management role within an electronics or manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset. Ability to manage production costs and improve efficiency. Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management.
