Description
The Role:
As our Hire Desk Controller, you will play an essential role in the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of our rentals service function. Key responsibilities include:
* Customer Communication: Professionally communicate with both internal and external customers to coordinate asset availability and resolve any queries.
* Hire Coordination: Effectively convert customer enquiries into profitable hires, ensuring the best terms and conditions are met.
* Provide Resolution: Recognize and escalate issues to the Rentals Manager, and address day-to-day operational concerns in collaboration with the Depot Manager.
* Vehicle Coordination: Manage the timely delivery and collection of vehicles and support vehicle movements and PFH’s as necessary.
* Excellent Customer Service: Ensure all customer requirements are met, aiming for the best commercial return from hire and transport assets.
* Breakdown Management: Support breakdown management across depots by utilizing JPVR staff, TPS, and manufacturers for rapid resolution.
* Records Management: Maintain both electronic and manual records, ensuring filing, archiving, and processing of customer charges are handled with precision.
* Off-Hire Notifications: Process customer hire enquiries, negotiate hire terms, and manage off-hire notifications to ensure smooth transitions.

The right candidate will have the following skills and/or experience:
* Experience working within a similar role (hire desk role advantageous)
* Organizational Skills with strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high accuracy.
* Effective communicator, clear and confident, both verbally and in writing.
* IT Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and have accurate
* Eagerness to learn and expand your fleet knowledge
* Adaptability to work well under pressure and respond to dynamic challenges.
