We are really excited about the opportunity to invite experienced midwives to apply to join our midwifery team at County Durham and Darlington to help us in delivering outstanding intrapartum, antenatal and postnatal care to the women and birthing people using our service. We are looking for experienced midwives who are currently registered to practice within the UK and who are interested in joining our teams within our acute units. The role is primarily based within the labour ward but we also offer rotation to the antenatal and postnatal ward settings and we are very keen to hear from midwives confident working in the assessment unit and triage setting. In return, as a new to trust midwife we can offer a bespoke training and development programme whilst also recognising the value of prior learning in your speciality. You will be well supported with a bespoke induction and training package by members of our specialist Practice Development Team who will ensure your support as you transition to your new role both professionally and personally. The successful candidate will be supported and encouraged to seek educational opportunities to further their Continuing Professional Development and career progression. We are a trust which actively supports and encourages lifelong learning and development and we are very keen to support you to achieve your full potential with us. In turn, you will have the opportunity to assist in supporting the development of our preceptorship, Internationally Educated and student midwives. We strongly encourage a culture of life-long learning and development here at CDDFT and you will be encouraged and supported to continue to develop and thrive in your role as an acute midwife. You will also be able to access personalised pastoral care via our specialist workforce experience teams, including our retention lead midwife and the PMA service. We are very proud of our maternity staff here at CDDFT and we are sure there is a role that you will enjoy within our team. You are very welcome to contact our Recruitment Lead directly to arrange a tour of our units, meet our teams and discuss any queries informally.
