Our client, a prestigious leader in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to enhance their team in Wimborne on a permanent basis. This role is crucial for spearheading project deliveries and contributing towards innovative, energy-efficient solutions that promote a sustainable future.
Key skills required for this role
Prior experience within Systems, Project Engineering, with experience preferably in DOORS/CRADLE.
What You'll Do:
* Apply mechanical and/or systems engineering knowledge throughout product lifecycles.
* Manage stages of system lifecycle including requirements management, validation, systems design, development, integration, verification, and qualification.
* Develop and oversee engineering management plans and tasks.
* Translate stakeholder and customer requirements into comprehensive project solutions.
* Coordinate with suppliers and customers to align the project outputs with their expectations.
* Ensure system integrity through lifecycle management and maintain traceability of design decisions.
* Support product lifecycle stages to deliver an integrated solution.
* Organise engineering design gate reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
* Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities impacting project delivery.
* Engage with engineering leadership and program management to ensure appropriate project resourcing and capability.
* Champion continuous improvement by incorporating effective systems engineering practices.
Job Requirements:
* Proven experience in project engineering, especially related to aerospace systems.
* Understanding and application of systems engineering practices.
* Experience with requirements management and verification tools, preferably DOORS/CRADLE.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to driving solutions.
* Ability to engage stakeholders effectively and ensure project alignment with strategic objectives.
* Recognised engineering degree or equivalent qualifications with experience in mechanical, electromechanical, or systems product development.
