EPUT and MSEFT are implementing a UK-first Unified Electronic Patient Record (UEPR) system spanning Acute, Mental Health, and Community services. The new system will be delivered through the Nova Programme, in partnership with our commercial collaborators, marking a significant transformative journey.

Main duties of the job
Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSEFT) provides services to residents of Southend, Basildon, and Chelmsford. It was formed in April 2020 by the merger of three trusts. Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) offers community health, mental health, and learning disability services across Bedfordshire, Essex, and Suffolk, formed in 2017 after a merger.
EPUT and MSEFT are pioneering a UK-first EPR for a unified system across healthcare sectors, using Cerner solutions from Oracle Health. We seek an experienced Clinical Lead to support this transformative programme.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
All duties will adhere to departmental SOPs, professional, clinical, and legal guidelines, aligned with best practices and the NHS constitution.
Advanced Clinical Pharmacy Services
* Lead pharmacists providing specialist services to ensure high-quality clinical pharmacy support, including advice on safe, effective, and economical drug use.
* Demonstrate professional accountability to improve patient care and ensure staff adherence to principles.
* Develop and lead clinical pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient settings, aligned with trust priorities and national directives.
* Manage and report on high-cost drug use, including biologics, BlueTeq, and IV Immunoglobulins.
* Serve as clinical pharmacy lead for electronic systems and formulary management, including NICE TAs.
* Assist in hospital committee meetings, manage unlicensed medicines, and lead clinical training and medicines information resources.
* Oversee the development and timely implementation of new protocols and procedures.

Qualifications
* Master's degree in pharmacy
* One-year pre-registration training
* Registration with the GPhC
Desirable qualifications
* Post-graduate management qualifications
* Project management training
* Formal leadership training from a recognized provider
Communication skills
Essential
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying detailed or sensitive information to patients, carers, and colleagues.
Desirable
* Experience with self-initiated 360-degree appraisals or similar assessments.
