Description An exciting opportunity to join the Software Services team at the University of Edinburgh. This is a Grade 7, full-time (35 hours per week), open-ended (permanent) position based in central Edinburgh. The role is hybrid, you will report to the Software Asset Manager and will be on campus a minimum of one day per week. What the job involves: Distributing software to staff and students of the University and ensuring compliance with software licensing agreements. Acting as a second line of support for software-related issues, making sure issues are resolved quickly. Liaising with software suppliers and internal customers in University Schools and Colleges. Providing information and support on purchasing, renewing and maintaining licenses. Assisting with finance and budgeting tasks such as software procurement and cost recovery. A bit about you: Relevant experience of software licensing and management in a large organisation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Evidence of excellent attention to detail with good time management and organisational skills.
