Research Analyst intern (Part-Time)
Are you currently studying or pursuing a PhD in nutrition, biochemistry, medicine or a related field? Are you curious about natural health, biohacking or evidence-based wellness? Are you enthusiastic about engaging with and critically analyzing scientific literature?
We are looking for a Research Analyst to help write educational articles for a new health platform, Lifestack. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in a startup environment, work closely with the founder, and contribute to a platform dedicated to evidence-based health.
Lifestack is a social platform designed to help users discover effective health strategies and follow routines that work. Your role will involve compiling literature reviews that distill complex research into clear, accessible insights, helping users navigate health information beyond social media trends. We prioritise research based on methodological rigour rather than prevailing narratives to maintain an impartial approach to health.
Responsibilities
Research & Analysis:
* Conduct literature reviews on key nutrition and health topics (e.g. ketosis, seed oils, thiamine, Vitamin C, vegetarian diets, etc.).
* Assess the quality and relevance of scientific studies, especially in areas without strong existing consensus
* Publish these advanced literature reviews on Lifestack Articles - Lifestack's section for scientific research
Content Development:
* Use the literature reviews to write educational articles for Lifestack intended for a less academic audience
* Identify key research papers to support social media content on platforms like X, TikTok, Instagram and Linkedin.
Ideal Candidate:
* Able to assess the reliability of scientific papers based on methodological quality
* Academic background in nutrition, biochemistry, medicine or related fields.
* Strong interest in natural health, biohacking, or alternative approaches to wellness.
* Interest in the history of science and medicine.
* Comfortable using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) for drafting and structuring content
* Effective writer with strong analytical skills
This is a part-time, flexible role (5-10 hours per week) with opportunities for continued collaboration as Lifestack grows.
* This is a paid position with an hourly rate competitive for research assistant roles. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
Workplace type & location:
• Remote (with occasional London meet-ups)
