Role Description
This is a full-time role as a Paraplanner at Emerald Associates in our Penrith office. The role is integral to the smooth running of financial planning operations and ensures that clients receive the best advice. The typical duties of a paraplanner include:
1. Prepare Recommendations: Offering draft recommendations for financial advisors based on research, analysis, and client needs.
2. Prepare Documentation: Drafting reports, client correspondence, and presentation materials for client meetings or follow-up.
3. Liaise with Clients: Communicating with clients to gather necessary information, answer questions, or clarify financial matters.
4. Follow-Up: Ensuring the advisor's recommendations are carried out by keeping track of clients' financial progress and updating plans as needed.
5. Maintain Client Records: Ensuring that all client information is accurately recorded, up-to-date, and stored in compliance with data protection laws.
6. Documentation Management: Organising and filing financial planning documentation, ensuring proper completion of compliance paperwork.
7. Ensure Compliance: Ensuring that financial plans and recommendations comply with relevant financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
8. Monitor Regulatory Changes: Keeping up-to-date with industry regulations and changes in laws that could affect financial planning.
9. Financial Software Proficiency: Using financial planning software and tools to input data, run simulations, and generate reports.
10. Investment Analysis: Assisting with the analysis of portfolio performance, risk assessments, and asset allocation.
11. Team Support: Working with other paraplanners, financial planners, and other staff to ensure efficient office and client management.
12. Client Presentations: Assisting in preparing presentations for client meetings, ensuring that all necessary financial information is provided clearly and professionally.
