Due to continued expansion and company growth we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Management System (BMS) Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of BMS projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent technical knowledge of BMS, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. The Controls Project Manager position forms part of the projects team, within the commercial controls division. The position reports in to the Head of Projects
Role Requirements
Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, for BMS projects.
Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors,to ensure successful project delivery.
Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and support for the design, installation, and commissioning of BMS systems.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and codes.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and control costs to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients Required Education & Qualifications
Experience within HVAC/BMS/Engineering projects environment
Competent electrical knowledge and capable of understanding electrical drawings.
Competent HVAC and/or BMS knowledge, capable of understanding engineered systems to a high level
SSSTS or SMSTS qualified or willing to undertake
Ability to operate to a high level in a fast paced environment potentially on multiple projects simultaneously
Experienced with site/construction works and knowledge of relevant H&S standards
Logical and methodical approach to problem solving using own initiative is a must
Awareness of the industry, its technology and application
Have good written & communication skills including report writing
Strong interpersonal / organisational skills
The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
CSCS or equivalent held (or willing to undertake)
Awareness of BMS/DCIM and common communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP)
Knowledge of IT systems, servers and communication networks
Ideally experience with Tridium Niagara 4 & AX software and controllers
