Reporting to the IT Manager you will be the first point of contact for technical inquiries, providing swift assistance with IT hardware and software, whether through phone, remote access, or face-to-face interaction.Key duties will include:To provide technical support in the installation, upgrading and maintenance of the EPOS software environment. Escalate problems as required to resolution.To provide IT hardware and software support either by telephone, remote access or visits as appropriate. This to include hardware repairs and redundant kit disposal; routine system, hardware and software maintenance; testing, installation and configuration of new hardware and software in a Network environment.To provide technical support for both client server and peer to peer networks, internet connections and email systems.To liaise with suppliers of maintenance and support services where appropriate to ensure the repair or maintenance of computer systems.To provide IT hardware and software support including hardware repairs and redundant kit disposal; routine system, hardware and software maintenance; testing, installation and configuration of new hardware and software in a Network environment.About youA Level qualification IT or equivalent qualificationFull UK Driving LicenceTechnical skills and best practice guidelines encompassing current versions of:Microsoft operating systems for desktops & serversNetwork management solutionsHelp desk software and reportingPost qualification experience in a commercial or local government environment (or at least 4 yrs relevant experience without qualification).Experience of IT equipment build and repair techniques.A little about usAt Longleat we offer a day out like no other, our guests are invited to step into the Thynn family home where they will find the finest example of Elizabethan Architecture.
