Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Motherwell, is currently looking to recruit a Classroom Support worker, for a contract until June 2025, on a rate of £14.70/hour PAYE. The role will be based onsite at Motherwell campus. This will be part time working 2-3 days per week. Applicants must have a current PVG in place dated within last 12 months or be willing to apply for one. Responsibilities: - Provide classroom support for learners to enable access to the curriculum. This would include notetaking, prompting, reading, scribing etc. - Assessment and Exam arrangement support as required. - Monitor learner support needs. - Organise and prioritise technical/classroom support to meet service requirements. - Provide classroom support for learners to enable access to the curriculum - Liaise with teaching staff as required to facilitate student learning. - Enable learners to access a range of assistive technology and resources. - Support learners in their use of the equipment and assistive software available. - Monitor learner support needs - Ensure appropriate resources are available. - Provide feedback to the Access & Educational Support Team. - Organise and prioritise technical/classroom support to meet service requirements - Maintain appropriate records and reporting procedures - Contribute to the maintenance of statistics to support monitoring, review and evaluation of the service provided by the College. - Encourage learners to be independent and effective within the College, and the community. - - ICT skills required for production of paperwork, reports, and e-communication. Essential Skills: • Previous experience of working with people with disabilities or other support needs • Experience of working in an educational environment • HNC level qualification or educational comparability • Computer literate – good working knowledge of Microsoft packages • Strong communication skills (spoken and written) • Able to prioritise workload Desirable Skills: • Experience of working with a 16 client group • Experience of note taking
