You'll be part of an integrated team of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology consultants, managing a wide range of complex infections. This includes inpatient work, a clinical infection consult service, close working with Acute & General Internal Medicine, a regional Tuberculosis service, Military Services, Tropical Medicine, Viral Hepatitis, Complex Outpatient Antibiotic therapy (COpAT), Orthopaedic infection, HIV, Immunology & Allergy, Clinical Microbiology and Paediatrics. The post-holder will participate in all clinical governance activities, including clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, risk management, quality improvement activities as required by the Trust, and external accrediting bodies. The Direct Clinical Care PAs will be worked flexibly by agreement with consultant colleagues over as monthly blocks as part of an annualised job plan. There is no prospective cover provided within the weekly job plan. On-call out of hours will be shared between the Consultant team.
