My client is a market-leading business that has the UK's largest independent workshop based in the West Midlands. They are specialists in the machining of various materials, supplying into a range of different industries and client bases.
Description
You will be responsible for maintenance across a variety of equipment in a busy machine shop, as well as:
1. Perform regular inspections on machine shop equipment to ensure optimal operation.
2. Execute timely repairs on faulty machinery to minimise downtime.
3. Collaborate with the production team to implement production efficiency improvements.
4. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
5. Document maintenance procedures and machinery audits.
6. Provide training to the production staff on machine operation and safety protocols.
7. Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
8. Use horizontal single and twin spindle, twin pallet milling machines.
9. Use single spindle lathes.
Working Hours
Monday - Friday
06:00 - 14:00 (Can be flexible on start & finish times)
Early finish on a Friday.
Profile
You will be an experienced Maintenance Technician/Machine Shop Technician, with experience using CNC machines, as well as:
1. Recognised engineering qualification (Ideally, apprenticeship trained).
2. Competent at reading electrical and hydraulic drawings.
3. Experience in low voltage control systems.
4. Understanding of Fanuc and Siemens CNC Control Systems.
5. Good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
6. Work with DC drives.
Job Offer
Up to £48,000
