Salary range: £35,000 - £38,000 (dependant on experience) Job description We are looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge solutions. As an Electrical Design Engineer in our technical team, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, building, and manufacturing electrical components for our Laser systems. You will also be involved with maintaining, faulting finding and performing repairs on systems. You will also have the opportunity to work with the wider operations team assembling and testing systems. Electrical System Design: Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for our laser systems. Compliance: Ensure designs meet industry standards, codes, and regulations. Component Selection: Specify and evaluate electrical components for use in our systems. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless solutions. Prototyping & Testing: Oversee prototype development and testing to validate design functionality and reliability. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including CAD drawings, technical manuals, and test reports. Problem-Solving: Analyse and resolve electrical design challenges during development and production phases. Any other duties as required from time to time. What will you need to be considered? The ability to fault-find electronic circuits based upon their behaviour and upon the circuit schematic is necessary. Qualifications in electronics such as ONC, City & Guilds, BTEC level 3 or equivalent. Essential: Training or extensive knowledge of ISO 13849 - Safety of Machinery Attention to detail Software Proficiency: Expertise in CAD software and design software. Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical circuits, power systems, and control systems. Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
