The National Account Exec - Retail Sales (External) is responsible for supporting and managing relationships within external Retail business (non-Morrisons), ensuring the growth and profitability of new and existing Retail business, across ALL Myton Food Group Divisions.
The role focuses on supporting the Senior NAM and Head of Sales in the Division in striving to achieve and exceed key financial targets, including cash EBITDA performance and volume growth through factories. Additionally, the role takes a key role in the Category Management initiatives, trade promotions, forecasting, and supply chain execution across External Retail customers - new and existing.
This individual will work directly for the Senior NAM and with the Head of Retail Sales (External) to drive new product launches (NPD/EPD), execute data driven strategies, to grow the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting business growth by developing relationships with external retail customers.
* Assisting in the delivery of joint business plans (JBP) to align customer and company objectives.
* Managing all new product development (NPD) activities, ensuring successful product launches and category expansions.
* Tracking and analysing sales performance to support the team in achieving revenue, volume, and margin targets.
* Maintaining strong customer relationships, acting as a key contact for buying and supply chain teams.
* Collaborating with internal teams, including supply chain, finance, NPD, and manufacturing, to ensure smooth execution of customer strategies.
* Providing insights into market trends and competitor activity, supporting data-driven decision-making.
As well as the ability to work at pace, you will also need to have:
* Retail category management experience, ideally across multiple categories.
* Strong understanding of supply chain and manufacturing operations.
* Experience in joint business planning (JBP) and data-driven strategy execution.
* Proven ability to develop new business and manage key retail accounts.
* Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, with experience influencing senior stakeholders.
* Financial acumen, including P&L management and cost price inflation strategies.
* Track record in delivering new product launches and driving category growth.
