We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Reception Year Teacher to join an Early Years team at a school in Norfolk. The successful candidate will provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of their youngest learners. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the foundation of children's education. This role begins March 2025.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
* Foster children's early literacy, numeracy, and social skills through play-based learning.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and reports.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and other staff to support each child's development.
* Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among children.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils at all times.
Ideal Reception Year Teacher:
* A degree in Education or a related subject.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching in Early Years or Reception.
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
* A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to teaching as a Reception Year Teacher.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
