Vardey Recruitment is partnering exclusively with Rowans Hospice to recruit for an Income Generation Manager to work closely with the Director of Income Generation & People Services. Based in Purbrook near Waterlooville, Portsmouth - Hampshire region.

This Income Generation Lead job will interest a commercial leader keen to give back and work in a fabulous team for a worthy cause. Rowans provides free care and support to adults in the local community who have life-limiting illnesses, extending support to their families as well.
Job Role & Key Duties
1. Be a catalyst and a champion for change, implementing new practices and processes.
2. Create a commercial, externally focused culture to develop new income streams.
3. Lead the income generation team, including KPI reviews, staff management, workflow planning, training, learning, and development.
4. Manage all income generation contracts with outsourced providers and evaluate their suitability.
5. Develop and agree on an income generation operational plan aligned with the charity’s business plan.
6. Oversee and develop the use of the CRM system – Donorflex.
7. Manage and develop the charity’s digital and social media platforms, website, and communications to increase brand awareness.
8. Lead the management, development, and maintenance of the grant pipeline, identifying funding opportunities from charitable trusts and other funders, and submitting regular bids.
9. Research, prepare, and submit high-quality funding applications, bids, tenders, and proposals.
10. Support the development of legacy fundraising and market analysis to identify potential corporate partners and sponsors.
Who Should Apply?
1. A leader with experience in commercial income generation and positive financial outcomes.
2. A business management degree or qualified by experience.
3. Ability to interpret data, organize findings, and present to stakeholders.
4. Chartered Institute of Marketing or Fundraising membership is desirable.
5. Good understanding of market research, statistical, and data analysis methods.
6. Proficiency in MS Office and marketing software, e.g., CRM.
7. Thorough understanding of digital media analytics.
8. Motivated, self-starter, with excellent communication skills and creative, commercial awareness.
9. Clean driving license, as the role involves use of own vehicle.
