his challenging but interesting role you will have the opportunity to support children with complexities such as, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities and other neurodiverities as well as children experiencing gender dysmorphia, low self esteem and associated mental health difficulties.
In addition to this you have the added bonus of working in a truly beautiful location with an emphasis on outdoor experiences and even get to work with some animals!
Salary is up to £20 per hour plus sleepovers and overtime available

A successful residential childcare worker will be responsible for:
- Sharing responsibilities with a team of residential childcare workers
- Supporting the social and educational needs of children by accompanying them into classroom environments
- Develop and carry out engaging activities based on the interests of the young people in the house
- Act as a key worker to some children and support them on a one to one basis
- Actively identify potential risks or escalation points and use positive behaviour management techniques
- Co-ordinating wider care team to ensure consistency of care and messaging for young people
- Maintaining professional manner and working to National Care Standards
To be successful in your residential childcare worker application, you will:
- Have previous experience working in a care setting with young people
- Demonstrate understanding of legislation, behaviour management techniques and attachment theory
- Have strong communication skills, you may be asked to work with non-verbal children
- Register under the PVG scheme
- Full driving licence
- Obtained SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
