Social Network Login/Join:
The postholder will deliver, collect, install and demonstrate, repair and maintain care technology equipment, including telecare. This will be done in people’s own homes across the county, travelling by driving a commercial vehicle. The postholder will support people of all ages to maintain their health and wellbeing, including those people who are leaving hospital or to prevent the need for them to use other health and social care support as well as supporting unpaid carers to carry on caring for friends and family.
Responsibilities of TECS Technician:
1. Day to day management of stock on van
2. Set up / repair / collection of care technology in people’s own homes
3. Ability to move and track equipment in and stock movements through a computerised barcode scanner system
4. A team worker with a flexible approach and good communication skills
5. Able to provide relief warehouse cover
6. Provide advice to private paying customers about care technology NRS sells or hires out
Detailed Responsibilities:
1. Loading/checking the correct equipment on to a dedicated vehicle.
2. Deliver, install, set up, and demonstrate care technology equipment in a timely manner - in line with NRS processes.
3. Driving safely and efficiently to undertake required activities
4. Delivery and collection of the correct equipment.
5. Understanding and demonstrating the correct functionality of the equipment where necessary.
6. Timely booking and execution of deliveries, collections, PPM’s and repairs to fulfil service requirements and support other team members
7. Undertaking the repair or replace of any damaged or faulty stock item
8. To complete service users’ records ensuring that they are accurate - in accordance with NRS standards of data recording.
9. Working flexibly to ensure that changing priorities are met.
10. Being proactive in directing / signposting people, family members / carers to other relevant support services sources of assistance and support.
11. Support the TEC Operations Manager and the General Manager with creating a local “Technology First” culture change through effective communication and supporting process improvements, so that TEC becomes an integral part of the local health and care system.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Full UK Driving license
2. Experience of installation, delivery and testing of equipment
3. Polite, courteous and professional approach
