Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Intelligence and Provider Collaborative Analyst to join the Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) Commissioning Team under the new Lead Provider Collaboratives (LPC); Cheshire and Merseyside CYPMHS Collaborative and the North West Adult Eating Disorder Collaborative. This role involves data extraction, analytics, and scrutiny of people accessing specialised mental health services as part of the LPCs.
50% of this role sits within the Commissioning Team at CWP who are striving to be innovative, collaborative, and outcomes-focused. The other 50% will sit within the Business Intelligence team working on a range of new projects and the continual rollout of PowerBI.
You will play a lead role within both the Business Intelligence and LPC teams in relation to data sourcing from the Trusts Enterprise Data Warehouse, working closely with the Data Engineering and Modelling teams to design, develop, and support data structures enabling technological reporting solutions and visualisations.
Educated to degree level with advanced skills in Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS, SQL/TSQL, and PowerBI.

You will build effective relationships within the Trust and LPC, supporting the development of a continuous improvement culture through the delivery of high-quality performance data and information. This role involves responsibility for data quality and benchmarking, ensuring information is reported accurately for performance reporting and supporting business decisions. You will be involved in analysis, ad hoc reporting, root cause analysis of key issues for the Trust, and production of various performance papers and reports.
You will need excellent knowledge of data analysis and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience working in an information-related role and in extracting information from various systems is essential. NHS information management experience is advantageous but not essential.
Experience of using Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS and SQL/TSQL at an advanced level is essential, as well as a strong working knowledge of PowerBI. Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS) is desirable, along with Data Modelling and Development Lifecycle principles.
You will provide information to Executive leads within the organisation; consequently, excellent reporting and interpersonal skills are required, along with a professional approach.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Highly technically proficient with extensive experience in Database Design, extraction and manipulation or Educated to master’s degree level in a relevant technical subject.
* Evidence of further professional development e.g. a certificate in the use of SQL server or Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
* Member of ASSIST, BCS, UKCHIP or other relevant professional body.
Knowledge and Expertise
* Advanced keyboard skills.
* Power BI.
* Knowledge of Data Warehouse Modelling theories.
* Knowledge of development lifecycle.
Experience
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience designing, developing and implementing small to medium-sized IT systems.
* Experience of translating business requirements into information/system requirements.
* NHS experience working in Informatics, within a Mental Health Trust.
* Experience working in a business intelligence environment.
