Project Manager
Location: Glasgow – 3 days onsite
Start Date: February 2025
End Date: 6 months - option to extend up to two years
Hours per week: 40 hrs
Rate: £58ph
Clearance: Applicants must currently hold SC security clearance
Searchability NS&D are currently recruiting a Project Manager for a UK leading National Security & Defence organisation.
Requirements:
* Preferably possesses a background in Project Management or Engineering, with expertise in design management, project management, and contract administration within the nuclear sector.
* Demonstrated experience in accountable Project Manager roles for multidisciplinary design projects.
* Desirable to hold an APM PMQ or equivalent qualification, indicating recognised competence in Project Management.
* Extensive knowledge and practical experience in applying various construction contracts, particularly NEC 4.
* In-depth understanding of Nuclear Standards.
* Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams.
* Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM).
* Accredited Project Manager under NEC4 ECC.
* Completion of the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
* Degree in a relevant engineering, construction, or project management discipline.
* Chartered status in a related discipline.
* Proficiency in using CEMAR.
Accountabilities:
* Ensuring the delivery of work packages in accordance with NEC4 contract conditions.
* Managing cost and schedule performance for the assigned work packages.
* Implementing effective risk management strategies.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Available to work in Glasgow or HMNB Clyde 3 days a week.
* Active SC clearance.
* Engineering design and construction experience.
* NEC4 ECC Experience (3 years).
* NEC4 PSC Experience (3 years).
* Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a project as a Project Manager in a highly regulated industry.
* Full lifecycle experience from business case approval, design, execution, handover.
* Experience of change control.
* Experience of risk management.
* HND in a related engineering/construction/project management discipline.
