This role involves providing essential support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Responsibilities of the SEN TA:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD, SEMH, and ADHD, helping them engage with their learning.
Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor student progress and contribute to individual learning plans.
Support students in developing social skills and managing emotional responses.
Requirements of the SEN TA:
Experience working with children with ASD, SEMH, and/or ADHD is essential.
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with these needs.
