Belfast High School is a co-educational, voluntary grammar school founded in 1854 with a current enrolment of 960 pupils.
About the Department
The English Department consists of 5 subject specialists including a Head of Department. The School follows the CCEA syllabus for GCSE and A Level English Language and English Literature. All pupils study both subjects to GCSE. The Drama and Music Department consists of 2 subject specialists including the Head of Department. The School follows the CCEA syllabus for GCSE Drama and AQA for A Level Drama and Theatre Studies.
Main Responsibilities
The School is seeking to appoint a teacher to teach English Language, English Literature and Drama to GCSE with the potential to teach some A Level Drama, if required.
Closing date for receipt of applications – 12.00 noon, Friday 14 March 2025.
Teaching tasks and interviews are scheduled to take place week commencing Monday 24 March 2025.
