Purpose

As an In Custody Information, Advice, and Guidance Adviser, your mission is to empower prisoners, support their personal and professional development, and guide them toward positive learning and employment outcomes both in custody and upon release. Your role involves delivering workshops, coordinating events, and working collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the successful reintegration of prisoners into society. Essential:
You will have:
1. Level 4 IAG Qualification or the willingness to work towards L4 IAG Qualification (starting salary would be £23,400 for un-qualified Trainee Adviser and starting salary would be £25,538 for qualified Adviser)
2. Relevant experience in a Custodial environment
3. Excellent IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office software and previous experience of working with databases
4. Ability to work well as part of a team and independently when required
5. Outstanding abilities in interpersonal relations and effective communication
