Volunteer Opportunities at NVCA
Volunteers play an important role in local conservation projects, festivals, and much more! It’s a great way to meet new people, get outdoors, enjoy physical activity, earn community service hours, and gain job experience and training.
River Restoration
Step into chest waders and wade into waist-deep water to anchor old Christmas trees into the streambank to help trap soil on the banks and provide habitat for fish. This is the first step in a larger river rehabilitation project.
Festivals and Events
NVCA hosts two annual festivals – the Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival and the Festival at Fort Willow. Volunteers play a large part in the success of the festivals.
Schools & Groups
If your school class or group is looking to help with a fun, outdoor community project, contact Sarah Campbell for more information! NVCA’s “Friends” groups work to maintain and enhance specific conservation areas. These active groups are always looking for new volunteers!
