Position: Full-Time Teacher of Social Sciences, PSHRE, and Humanities Location: Gosport, Hampshire Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) Start Date: Spring Term 2025 (or sooner upon completion of recruitment checks) Contract: Permanent or Fixed-Term, subject to successful completion of a probationary period About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Social Sciences, PSHRE (Personal, Social, Health, and Relationships Education), and Humanities to join our dynamic team at a vibrant secondary school in Gosport. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering both academic excellence and personal development. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Social Sciences, PSHRE, and Humanities. Create a supportive classroom environment where sensitive topics can be explored confidently. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum. Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs within the department. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree or relevant qualification in a related subject area. Experience teaching Social Sciences, PSHRE, and/or Humanities at the secondary level (ECTs are welcome to apply). Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
