About the Role: A rewarding role working with and supporting residents aged 16-65 as they progress on their journey through the YMCA. As an Accommodation Project Worker, you will provide practical support to vulnerable children, young people, and adults at risk of homelessness. Your goal will be to enable and empower clients to develop the skills necessary for independent living. The post is based at the Cresset but will be covering Kirkgate in Wisbech once a week or as required. Access to a car would be required. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality person-centred support to enable and empower clients to develop the skills necessary for independent living within legislative, regulatory requirements and best practice. Create and implement support plans and offer practical advice on life skills like budgeting and seeking employment. Maintain high standards of supervision and support in order to create a warm, caring and homely atmosphere. Assist in the running of the residential areas of the Project and ensuring a high level of working practice. Ensure continuous development of key working and support packages in line with organisational policies and procedures. Work within YMCA Trinity Group policies and procedures upholding the values and ethos of the organisation. Participate in the on-call system. Skills and Experience Ability to work calmly and methodically in a sometimes demanding and challenging environment. Strong report-writing and communications skills in order to create, and maintain comprehensive case notes, clients’ records and to make contact and maintain excellent liaison with external agencies. Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. A good level of Education. Experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds. Excellent interpersonal, listening and teamwork skills. Motivated, reliable and punctual. Good organisational skills and able to balance and prioritise workloads. Ability to work within the values and ethos of the YMCA Trinity Group. Hours and Days: Contracted to 32 hours per week, to be worked on a 4-week rota basis Mid Shifts (11:00 - 19:30 hours) and Late Shifts (13:30 - 22:00 hours). You may also be asked to work additional shifts to cover to absence and holidays from time to time. A copy of the shift patterns will be shared at interview. Salary and Benefits: Actual salary £20,483.84 per annum.
