About the role:
We are looking for a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team, responsible for managing and reviewing financial and regulatory risk controls and processes, as well as overseeing cash management. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining compliance with regulations while providing insightful analysis to drive financial decision making.

Role & Responsibilities:
1. Oversee accounts payable team and processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record keeping
2. Leading production of a rolling 13 week cashflow forecasting on a weekly basis and foreign currency forecasting
3. Preparation of the quarterly VAT calculations, ensuring full compliance with VAT legislation and timely submission of HMRC returns
4. Preparation of monthly financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders
5. Undertake quality reviews of the team’s work to ensure standards and deadlines are met
6. Support with management reporting, external reporting, KPIs packs, balance sheet reviews
7. Assist with the month end close and statutory audit process
8. Ensure accurate financial records are maintained on our general ledger and supporting systems
9. Maintain and develop controls and processes, identifying improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and quality
10. Management of the team in day-to-day operations, providing guidance and training where required to contribute to the development of team members
11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency
12. Ad hoc tasks as and when required
Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
* Proven experience in financial accounting and management within a corporate environment
* Advanced Excel skills, capable of handling bulk data/system exports and utilising appropriate formulas
* Good knowledge of accounting packages – Navision 4PS would be advantageous
