Job Title: Judicial Services Coordinator 1 (Court Case Management Specialist) – County Criminal (County Funded)
Salary is Non-Negotiable. The successful candidate will be hired at the minimum salary.
The Judicial Services Coordinator 1 (Court Case Management Specialist) position in the Criminal Mental Health Project County Criminal Division will facilitate the diversion from jail to community-based behavioral health treatment and services. The Court Case Management Specialist will gather information from community stakeholders that address adherence with the criminal justice requirements that are necessary for successful recovery and community integration.
This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work/onsite schedule after a 90-day period, as outlined by existing Circuit policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
* Provides information to the court regarding the client and adherence to the diversion plan obtained through communication with family, housing, treatment providers and other stakeholders as necessary.
* Assists with linkage to community-based behavioral health treatment and services including screening, assessment, planning, identification, coordination and development of diversion plan.
* Accesses other essential support services for the client following discharge to the community.
* Serves as a boundary spanner across criminal justice and behavioral health systems.
* Completes all necessary documentation and reporting requirements.
* Performs related work as required.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or related field.
* Two (2) years of practical experience in community mental health, forensic mental health, or criminal justice.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
* Knowledge of issues related to criminal justice, community mental health, case management and community resources.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software programs.
* Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
* Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
* Detail and goal-oriented.
* Ability to maintain complex records.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers, the judiciary, court administration, and other agencies.
Working Conditions:
* Moderate noise; business office setting.
Physical Demands:
* Work involves a significant amount of standing, walking, sitting, typing, talking, listening, stooping, and reaching with hands and arms; must be able to transfer up to 10 pounds.
