We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Manager to support Everflow's leadership to ensure the company meets its regulatory, licence and legal obligations in Scotland and England (working with others internally and externally), and is also influencing the markets’ evolution.
Main Responsibilities/Tasks
* Monitoring regulatory changes and publications, assessing their implications for the business and communicating these impacts internally, as required.
* Tracking regulatory consultations and information requests and coordinating consultation responses with input from relevant contributors in the business.
* Supporting the business’ change management process for code and regulatory changes
* Monitoring industry news and providing regular summary updates to the business.
* Support with preparing articles for publication in the industry news.
* Training and advising Everflow employees on regulatory affairs.
* Participate in relevant market groups in both England and Scotland to influence market changes.
* Maintain regular engagement with market activity including attendance of relevant industry meetings.
Applicant Requirements
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate that they are capable of meeting skills and abilities criteria.
The role is best suited to a candidate who possesses the following skills:
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Good attention to detail
* Able to handle information in breadth and depth
* Demonstrable experience of self-management
* Effective prioritisation
* Able to ‘manage’ others (often at more senior level) to meet deadlines
* Able to understand and adapt to different audiences
* Show good judgement in handling sensitive messages/situations
* Degree educated in a relevant subject
* Existing knowledge of water industry regulation and experience of working in a regulated industry are essential
Other Requirements
* May be asked to represent the company externally
* May be asked to travel from time to time to as part of industry engagement activity
