English Teacher – PRU, South Birmingham

Job Role:
* Teaching GCSE English to small groups of students who require additional support.
* Delivering engaging and creative lessons that inspire a love for literature and language.
* Supporting students with SEMH needs, ensuring they have access to an outstanding education.
* Working closely with Teaching Assistants and Pastoral Support Staff to manage classroom behaviours effectively.
* Tracking progress and implementing interventions to bridge learning gaps.

Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching GCSE English, preferably in a PRU, SEMH, or alternative provision setting.
* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
* A resilient, patient, and compassionate approach to teaching.
* A valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
