My client is looking for an aluminium welder for a permanent role, with wages dependent on the applicant's experience.
Applicants must be willing to come in and perform some sample welds.
The role primarily involves:
1. MIG welding, with occasional TIG, focused solely on aluminium.
2. Welding stop ends to cill pressings (1.5mm and 2mm usually).
3. Occasionally cutting mitres on folded cills on a bandsaw and making stop ends to suit.
4. Welding head and base brackets to aluminium plates (6mm/8mm + 10mm occasionally).
5. Fettling own work prior to sending it for powder coating, occasionally adding packers to work once it is returned from powder coating.
The job is not piecework; all jobs are contract specific - similar but never the same. #J-18808-Ljbffr
