The General Manager UK is a key member of the EMEA Leadership team and presents the opportunity to work with the world’s leading paediatric orthopaedic company. This role is responsible for driving the growth of our UK business by implementing commercial strategies, managing an experienced team of sales agents, building relationships with clients, leading cross-functional teams, and overseeing operational and financial performance.
The business has been growing in excess of 20% YOY for several consecutive years, and therefore the role requires a very adaptable personality, with a hands-on approach, able to keep up with the demands of an expanding orthopaedics and Bracing business.

Essential Functions:
1. Lead a team of successful sales agents to continue market share growth and achievement of sales budgets.
2. Cultivate relationships with key clients and stakeholders to facilitate business development.
3. Oversee the creation and execution of commercial and operational campaigns, ensuring they align with business objectives.
4. Analyse sales data to identify growth opportunities and refine strategies.
5. Develop pricing strategies and ensure adherence to sales processes and policies.
6. Enhance online presence through SEO, social media, and other digital channels.
7. Represent the company at national meetings and other key industry events.
8. Drive the company’s medical education program and internal training and development.
Strategic Leadership:
1. Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to make informed decisions.
2. Act as a commercial lead, ensuring internal and external stakeholders are aligned and operational activities are streamlined.
3. Foster a culture of teamwork and accountability.
4. Provide clear leadership and maintain open communication across all levels of the organization.
Financial Management:
1. Take charge of financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
2. Oversee NHS national frameworks, tenders, and hospital contracts to ensure compliance and optimization.
3. Manage operational efficiency by optimizing processes, controlling costs and investment.
4. Coordinate with partners to ensure smooth logistics, warehousing, and inventory control processes.
5. Steer the implementation of sterile packaging.
6. Manage agent commissions, sales forecasting, expense management, and marketing spend.
7. Collaborate with Finance to set financial targets, establish budgets, and ensure the effective deployment of resources.
Qualifications:
Required:
1. Proven leadership experience with a strong focus on sales, marketing, and business operations.
2. Experience with P&L management and financial oversight, including budget creation, sales forecasting, and expense control.
3. Strong decision-making abilities with experience in transformational and situational leadership.
4. Track record of driving profitable sales growth.
5. Minimum 5 years’ experience within the Orthopaedic market.
6. Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial thinking.
7. This role can be field based; however, there is an expectation that the GM will visit the UK office at least 3 to 4 times per month.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
9. Proficiency in CRM systems, marketing tools, and data analytics platforms.
Preferred:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles within a commercial, operational, or business development capacity.
3. Experience with managing cross-functional teams and working with multi-national organizations.
