Job Summary
Midlands Arts Centre is currently recruiting for a Development Officer to join our team on a full time (37.5 hours per week) basis.
Job Description
The Development Officer works closely with the Director of Development to support all areas of MAC Development activity including fundraising to audiences, donor events, researching grants and developing fundraising campaigns.
Membership Scheme
1. Accurately record correspondence, steward relationships and identify new members;
2. Reach yearly targets to grow the scheme year-on-year; working with MarComms to promote the membership to all visitors and audiences;
3. Deliver member events throughout the year, both as part of existing benefits and cultivation events for prospects;
4. Manage the administration of the Membership scheme and its benefits.
Individual Giving
1. Support the administration and promotion of Individual Giving campaigns including Name a Seat, Every Child, Legacy Giving and one-off fundraising campaigns;
2. Acknowledge, thank and record all donations and Gift Aid;
3. Support the Director of Development to produce fundraising materials;
4. Record Individual Giving progress across all funds;
Trusts and Foundations
1. Identify & apply to small - medium sized grants, working with colleagues to write informed and accurate applications for the various programmes.
Corporate
1. Assist the Director of Development to deliver a range of Corporate/Sponsorship benefits;
2. Research prospective corporate opportunities & packages;
Comms & Marketing
1. Manage communications for donors & supporters;
2. Keep up-to-date with developments in fundraising;
3. Lead the promotion of Individual Giving Opportunities to visitors and audiences;
4. Ensure all records of donors are up to date & comply with data protection regulation;
5. Support the marketing team with funding success stories.
This will be a full-time post working 37.5 hours per week. The salary will be dependent on experience and ranges from £24,149 to £26,934.
