Electrical Testing Engineer
Main duties and responsibilities for an Electrical Testing Engineer
As an Electrical Testing Engineer, you will report to the Supervisor / Contract Manager and be the first point of contact between the business and our client. You must have good written and oral communication skills and a high level of technical knowledge across the electrical industry.
Working hours are Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00 with weekend work and overtime available upon request!
The main duties of an Electrical Testing Engineer include:
1. Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, servicing, inspecting, and testing
2. Diagnosing and rectifying faults
3. Carry out electrical remedial works
4. Undertake new electrical inspections
5. Action reactive electrical works
6. Complete emergency lighting inspections and repairs
7. Carry out company works as required and to desired standards
8. Provide the highest level of customer care and always promote a good external perception of the company
9. Comply with company procedures and policies to ensure smooth delivery of our service
10. Produce reporting on time and to agreed standards
11. Adhere to the company’s quality management system and recycle correctly and responsibly
Experience & Skills
1. UK Driving Licence (required)
2. Experience in electrical repair, maintenance, servicing & installations, preferably within the public sector
3. A sound knowledge of tools, equipment & materials common to the Electrical Trade
4. Current Trade Qualifications
5. Good communication skills, both verbal & written
6. The ability to interpret schematics and electrical drawings
7. IT literate
8. A commitment to great customer service
