Lab Technician Role:
1. Assists in troubleshooting process improvements to increase data quality, lower costs, or reduce turnaround times to include updating standard procedures and assisting with troubleshooting.
2. Acts as a technical resource for laboratory staff to support the team in the absence of the line manager.
3. Performs routine data analysis to determine if an analytical procedure is proceeding according to expectations and that the results are within acceptable tolerances.
4. Identifies and documents potential performance errors or otherwise unusual results and escalates to senior lab personnel.
5. Prepares data analysis results for upload to the LIMS system under the guidance of senior level staff.
6. Contributes to CAPA investigations, deviations, and resolution.
Your Background:
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BSc in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or cytotechnology).
2. Previous working experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
3. Proficiency with routine and some non-routine laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics.
4. Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
