REPORTS TO
Balfour Beatty Vinci (BBV) is a long-established joint venture between two global leaders in critical infrastructure delivery.
Role Purpose
Responsible for conducting independent inspections on construction works and associated records to ensure compliance with approved designs, national and international standards, HS2 works information, and contract technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Helping in the development and production of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
2. Conduct inspections within their own discipline.
3. Prepare and submit reports of inspections and findings.
4. Engage with the team to integrate technical assurance into business processes.
5. Assist the Quality Manager to ensure inspection and test plans are in place.
6. Ensure systems are in place for clear agreement on specifications with customers and subcontractors.
7. Assist in developing specific project/task inspection and test plans.
8. Conduct inspection activities according to ITP/Checklists.
9. Prepare nonconformance reports and assist in developing corrective actions.
10. Coordinate all site inspections with subcontractors.
11. Establish and report against quality performance KPIs.
Experience and Criteria Required:
1. Experience of Major Civil Engineering projects.
2. Experience of construction in the UK.
3. Knowledge of UK and international standards and codes of practice.
4. Proven track record in Quality Control and independent inspection.
5. Formal qualification in Quality Management or inspection (e.g., CSWIP).
6. Driving Licence.
