About the role
Title – Support Officer
Pay Rate – £13.15
Location – Newcastle, Metro Centre and Bishop Auckland
Shift Timings – Various hours a week, including weekends & bank holidays
Must be able to drive and have a full UK driver's license as the Officer needs to travel across different stores.
You will be working in a well-known retail store, providing customer service by covering the main door, meeting and greeting customers, offering support, conducting regular patrols, and responding to alarms. Officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of both staff and visitors. We are looking for candidates who are confident, outgoing, and energetic, with a desire to help people and be part of a team.

Your main responsibilities may include:
* Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
* Challenging the alarm.
* Meeting and greeting customers at the door.
* Offering support to visitors.
* Following ASCONE protocols.
* Investigating disturbances and monitoring entry and exit points of the retail store.
* Calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft detection devices.
* Effectively managing large crowds and building positive customer relations.
To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
* SIA licence is desirable but not essential, as full SIA training can be provided for the right candidate.
* Confidence, outgoing personality, friendliness, and a willingness to learn.
* 5-year checkable work/career history.
* Physical fitness to undertake given tasks.
* Ability to work under pressure.
