An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Veterinary Physiotherapist / Hydrotherapist at our Basildon Pitsea Hospital!
About us
We are a 24-hour RCVS-accredited small animal hospital and emergency services clinic with a strong focus on compassion, empowerment, and excellence. Our hospital is equipped with advanced facilities, including in-house CT, MRI, lab machines, video endoscopes, and a dedicated dental area with dental X-ray. This allows us to deliver high-quality care and ensures excellent continuity for our patients.
We have recently acquired our NARCH status as a hospital. Our team includes a highly skilled nursing and rehabilitation team, offering hydrotherapy and physiotherapy both during hospital stays and as outpatient services. We're passionate about pain control and anaesthesia, having recently achieved zero-pain practice accreditation.
We perform a wide variety of soft tissue, orthopaedic, and spinal surgeries, as well as routine healthcare and procedures. Our team handles a diverse caseload, from routine procedures like neutering to advanced surgeries such as TPLOs and hemi laminectomies. We also provide emergency cover for local clinics, giving our team valuable experience in emergency and critical care cases.
Our hospital is conveniently located just 30 minutes by train from central London and has direct transport links to Southend and Stansted airports.
About you and the role
We're looking for an experienced Physiotherapist/Hydrotherapist who is eager to lead by example and has strong communication and organizational skills. You should have proven experience in physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, and be passionate about working in a collaborative, positive team environment.
We have a strong team of 14 vets, 15 RVNs, 1 Physiotherapist, 1 hydrotherapist, 8 SVNs, and 10 VCAs, all supported by excellent client care and finance teams. You will be supported by the Deputy Head nurse/ Hydrotherapist, Hayley who also leads our rehab service as well as Head Veterinary Nurse, Sarah, and Head of Clinical Services, Kelly.
This is a full-time role, working 38 hours a week across 4 days, with a set day off each week and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
