About Specialist Factual Productions
Specialist Factual Productions is the home of dynamic, thought-provoking and award-winning factual television that makes stories that matter.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Co-ordinator to work on an ambitious new 4-part history series for BBC & S&D. The series will feature drama as well as documentary elements and may involve CGI and foreign filming.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced full-time Production Coordinator who is invested in the content and enjoys contributing to the common goals of a supportive production team. Candidates must have a solid track record with setting up foreign filming and working with large crews, be able to juggle and prioritize different demands from different people, have stamina over a long production, resilience, and an understanding of the knock-on effects of changes to plans and adapting accordingly.
You will report to the Production Manager, and in partnership with the editorial team, provide logistical and coordinator support to their production teams, potentially working across a number of programmes at any one time, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and within operational and financial constraints. You will also contribute to, and help implement, practical actions to reduce environmental impact throughout production.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
* You must have a genuine interest in BBC Studios output and Specialist Factual content.
* You’ll have considerable experience working as a Production Coordinator in TV across a variety of Factual content.
* Experience of working on productions involving international delivery/co-productions.
* Strong organisational and planning skills paired with accuracy and an aptitude for systems.
* Prior experience working on Drama Reconstruction as a Production Coordinator would be desirable.
* Prior experience using Albert and delivering sustainable productions.
* We would be interested to hear from anyone who has worked on VFX or CGI productions.

Band: C
Salary: £29,000 - £40,000 plus London weighting at £5319, depending on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Location: The role will be a combination of WFH and working at our London Television Centre offices.
Start Date: TBC from early Dec/Jan until August 2025.
