We’re looking for a Qualified Accountant to join our Financial Governance Team for 6 months. The Financial Governance Team supports the RNLI through providing constructive, commercial, and cost-effective financial support and expertise to help the RNLI maximise its income and minimise its expenditure whilst also ensuring financial compliance across the RNLI. This is an essential role within our finance team, working on an ERP implementation project, which is a key strategic project where you’ll get to use your experience and commitment to help provide a high quality, complete, accurate and timely Financial reporting service for the RNLI, supporting continuity of service during transition between ERP systems. Your role Reporting to the Financial Control Mainstay Lead, you will be supporting the project team in ensuring our future financial systems are accurate, efficient, and effective to enable timely, and complete financial reporting. This role will be tasked with focus on the following areas: Finance support for new systems projects Overview of integrity within the financial systems; Ensure that financial reporting systems are complete and accurate; Monitor, troubleshoot, and support the configuration and design of the new financial systems; About you You’ll be someone who is meticulous and diligent to ensure the necessary accuracy and compliance. Our ideal candidate will love problem solving with the ability to understand the bigger picture and how decisions made will impact Finance. They must possess exceptional communication skills at all levels and be confident in building effective relationships with both financial and non-financial colleagues. To be considered as our new Qualified Accountant - Systems and Projects you will: Be a fully qualified member of accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Have substantial post qualified experience Experience of working in not for profit organisations Have experience of preparation of statutory and management accounts Have extensive ERP systems and Microsoft Office experience, including systems implementation (D365 experience desirable Have the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels to define financial accounting and reporting requirements.
