Our client is a world leading manufacturer of automated packaging machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.\n\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for machine installation, commissioning maintenance and repair activities at client sites throughout the UK.\n\nThe Role:\n\nReporting to the service manager you will be responsible for machine installation, maintenance and repair of a wide range of automated packaging machinery activities on customer sites.\nDuties will include but is not limited to the following;\n\nInstallation, maintenance, service and repair of conveyors, horizontal & vertical packaging, filling, sealing & bagging equipment checkweighers and robotic machinery.\nMechanical maintenance activities will involve the removal and replacement on broken and worn component parts\nElectrical fault find and repair on motors, servos, 415v and 24v circuits (ability to read electrical schematics/drawings is essential).\nPLC fault find and repairprogramming RS Logix, Step 7 and others\nProviding operational training for customers\nProduce and maintain accurate site/work visit reportsCandidate:\n\nYou will be an experience service engineer ideally with previous experience in working with high speed automated machinery preferably in food or pharmaceutical sectors.\n\nYou will have excellent electrical / mechanical engineering skills and ideally you will have good plc skills (preferably RS Logix & Siemens S7).\n\nYou will demonstrate good customer service and communication skills and you will be of a friendly disposition.\n\nYou will be required to undertake extensive travel throughout the UK.\n\nHours of Work:\n\nMonday to Friday 37 hours + OT + Door to door pay\n\nBenefits:\n\nExcellent gross earnings £58K - £65K\nCompany car, phone, laptop\nExpenses company credit card\n33 days annual leave\nPension\nLife insurance\nSick pay\nHealth Insurance Scheme
