Administrator & Assistant Exams Officer - Aurora Severnside School
Salary: £,. - £,. actual annual salary – dependant on experience & qualifications
Hours: hours per week – TTO + 2 additional weeks

The main purpose of the role:
We are looking for a reliable and organised Administrator and Assistant to the Exams Officer to join our team and provide key support with both school administration and exam coordination. You will assist in maintaining records, preparing for internal and external exams, managing exam materials, and ensuring compliance with exam board regulations. You’ll also work closely with teachers, the Exams Officer, and other staff to communicate important exam details to students and parents/carers, helping everything run smoothly and on schedule.
In addition to exam duties, you will also be required to undertake general administration duties, such as inputting and retrieving data, taking accurate minutes as required, preparing relevant information for Ofsted inspections and assisting with any other duties that may be required by the School Business Manager, Headteacher or other members of SLT.

Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidate qualities:
1. Experience of working in Administrative role within a school environment and/or a busy administration office
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, email and web and general office systems
Skills:
1. Adaptable, flexible approach to work including collaborative support to other colleagues to meet demands of the business
2. Excellent organisation skills: ability to work in a busy and demanding environment
3. Ability to work independently and effectively without supervision for longer periods of time and prioritise workload
4. Commitment to service quality
5. Ability to be discreet and protect confidentiality
6. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written at all levels
7. Excellent customer focussed manner
8. Good level of literacy and numeracy (at least 5 GCSEs above C to include English and Maths)
9. Must have excellent computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Powerpoint and ability to use range of databases once trained
10. Accurate typing, touch typing desirable
11. Organised, good time management
12. Ability to manage own time to deal with multiple tasks
13. High levels of interpersonal ability with excellent written and verbal communication
14. Able to work independently and as part of a team
15. Discreet, confidential and reliable
