Our client, a leading player in the oil and gas industry, is currently seeking a dedicated HSE Lead for a site-based permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading and developing site HSE plans that align with the company's business objectives in collaboration with Operational Management and the Regional HSE Manager.
2. Identifying development and competence needs for HSE Advisors and ensuring these requirements are communicated to the Site Management and HSE function for implementation.
3. Managing and nurturing stakeholder relationships with regard to HSE matters.
4. Disseminating experience and knowledge to the HSE Advisors.
5. Leading team members in effectively auditing customer sites and ensuring timely follow-up and closure of any arising actions.
6. Engaging with and building relationships with Client HSE personnel.
7. Being an active and visible team member, spending time on site for audit and inspection processes, and interacting with site personnel and HSE Advisors.
8. Collaborating with Operational Management to enable ownership and delivery of HSE 'through the line.'
9. Actively engaging with and advising HSE Advisors on incident investigation, leading the process through to satisfactory completion.
10. Working closely with the Regional HSE Manager to provide support and deliver on Company targets and objectives.
11. Promoting the use of the company's HSE Management System and identifying any shortfalls or areas for improvement to the HSE Manager.
12. Supporting and promoting the Company Behavioural Safety Programme Safety Work's.
13. Reporting concerns of non-compliance or potential non-adherence to legislation.
Job Requirements:
1. Proven experience in an HSE management role, particularly within the oil and gas/petrochemical sector.
2. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
3. Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
4. In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
6. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
7. A proactive approach to HSE management with the ability to drive cultural change.
We are especially interested in hearing from candidates who hold a NEBOSH Diploma or an NVQ level 5.
