Deputy Manager Ofsted - Residential Home for Young People
Location: Hoddesdon
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care and support to young people within a nurturing and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the home.
* Supervise and mentor a team of dedicated Residential Childcare Workers.
* Develop and implement individual care plans for young people, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Build positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practice guidelines.
* Deputise for the Home Manager in their absence.
* Participate in on-call rota as required.
Essential Criteria:
* Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
* Proven experience of working in a residential care setting for young people.
* Experience of supervising and mentoring staff.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of young people.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations (e.g., Children Act 1989).
