Here is a warm and inclusive primary school dedicated to fostering a love of learning in every student. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team and support our Year 3 class, helping students thrive in their educational journey. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as Year 3 Teaching Assistant:
* Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities across the Year 3 curriculum.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students with their learning, both academically and socially.
* Assist with the management of the classroom, ensuring a positive and effective learning environment.
* Help prepare teaching resources and set up activities for lessons.
* Support students with additional learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Observe and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
* Assist with the delivery of interventions and additional support for struggling students.
* Encourage positive behaviour, helping students to develop social and emotional skills.
* Support students during break times and with pastoral care as needed.
Ideal Year 3 Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting.
* A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
* A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
* Ability to engage and motivate children in their learning as a Year 3 Teaching Assistant.
* A positive attitude and commitment to working in an inclusive environment.
