About the role
A rare opportunity has arisen for a well-organised and resilient individual to join the Children and Family Services as a Business Support Officer - HR in the Business Support HR Team.
This role is part of Children and Family Services and is to provide high quality administrative support and information in relation to all recruitment, payroll and staff movement activity.

Main duties and responsibilities:
* To line manage staff, including supervision, PDR and PDR review meetings.
* To implement and undertake absence management, disciplinary and behaviour at work action, under the direction of the Business Manager - Operations or Senior Management Information Officer.
* To manage and supervise workload processes within the service areas, maintaining or delivering additional structures in accordance with requirements.
* To provide guidance and advice through structured group meetings.
* To monitor all staff changes either by e-form or by inputting direct information into the LCC payroll/HR systems as appropriate.
* To actively support the recruitment process by being part of interview panels, offering guidance and support etc.
* Provide and support staff with ongoing data cleaning which fully supports case management system capabilities.
* To support all Business Support Officers and Senior Business Support Officers across the services in keeping system templates and processes fully updated, in line with Children and Family Services requirements.
About You: To apply for this post you must have:
* Recognised Academic Qualifications e.g. 'GCSE', 'A' Levels, Vocational Quals, Professional/Further Education Quals, NVQ 3 or equivalent in relevant area Or equivalent level of relevant experience.
* Previous experience of collection and collation of data, performing calculations and writing reports. Ability to analyse and interpret data/information and present it effectively.
* Experience of working to strict timescales and meeting deadlines. Knowledge of administrative work and experience in setting up of new administrative systems.
* Ability to engage, motivate and direct efforts of others towards agreed Children and Family Services objectives.
* Proven experience of managing staff, resources and resolving administrative problems.
* Knowledge of the use and application of IT within an office environment. Full understanding of the need to maintain professional integrity and confidentiality.
* Strong organisational skills, clear communication skills and the ability to work using own initiative, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
